What’s different about PUNCH INDUSTRY’s own standard?
・It sets a severe standard that not only incorporates the provisions of the RoHS Directive and the JIG Guidelines, but also the requirements of each individual customer. |

Does it provide for any concrete environmental measures?
・The practice of chromating with hexavalent chromium has been totally abolished; we use tribalent chromium or a chrome-free compound instead.
・All the copper alloys we use contain under 75 ppm of cadmium.
・The use of PVC has been banned totally.
・We have never used asbestos. |

Do compliant products bear an identification mark?
・Labels, etc. do not bear the identification mark, as all our products are 100%
environment-friendly. |

・No, the environment is given consideration in all of the aspects listed below. |

Can an Environmental Safety Certificate be issued for a product?
・ We can assist you with the following.. In some cases, this procedure may take some time. |

1 We ca issue a PUNCH INDUSTRY Environmental Safety Certificate covering all products listed in the catalog.
2 For specific products, we can submit mill sheets, MSDS, Pledge of Absence of Environmentally Hazardous Chemical Substances, analytical data, etc.
3 We can provide the documentation specified by the customer (ppm, mg of hazardous substances contained, etc.) |

What about the environmental safety of customized products?eee
・All customized products as well are environmentally safe.
・In cases where environmental conformity of the material, surface treatment, etc. specified by the customer on the drawings was not previously confirmed, PUNCH INDUSTRY will confirm conformity prior to manufacture.
・We will suggest alternative specifications, if necessary. |

What if a product does not conform to the RoHS Directive?
・The forerunners in green procurement, especially electric and electronic equipment makers, have already started the procurement of mold components and components for factory automation according to RoHS equivalent standards. Conformity/non-conformity may influence the selection of procurement sources. |

・Manufacturing environment-friendly products has led to a cost increase, but we do not plan to pass this increase on to our customers. |
