The hole diameter of the nozzle contacting part of sprue bushings is normally made larger than the nozzle diameter of the injection molding machine to prevent resin leakage from the nozzle contactiong part. Up to now, the diameter of the sprue bushing had to be matched to the nozzle diameter of the injection molding machine, even for components such as mobile phone parts or electroninc components that are easy to mold using a narrower sprue runner. Our new “Small Hole Sprue Bushings” solve this problem. The nozzle contacting part is countersunk, allowing the sprue diameter to be fixed independently of the nozzle diameter of the injection molding machine. |

In multi-part molding, it can happen that the resin does not flow uniformly, so that certain cavities will not be filled properly. In this case, the molding conditions have to be changed, but in the end the mold often has to be considerably modified, for example, by changing the width of the runner. To solve this problem, we came up with a product where the runner part of the mold is provided with a “Runner Flow Adjusting Pin”, allowing for the resin flow to be adjusted while experimenting. This “Runner Flow Adjusting Pin” does not only let you adjust the resin flow, but also prevents the resin from flowing into cavities that do not need to be filled. |

A High-precision Pinpoint Gate Bushing is the part through which the resin runs from the runner into the mold. It is also the part where the runner and the molded product are separated when one gate is opened. Dimensional deviations of this part will negatively affect the product’s quality. In light of this, the reaction to our changing the gate diameter tolerance to ±0.01 in our 2005 Product Catalog was enthusiastic. To accommodate the needs of our customers even further, our next 2007 Product Catalog is planned to include high-precision products with a gate diameter tolerance of ±0.005. |

In case of a three-plate mold, the sequence in which the plates open to enable removal of the runner after cutting the product’s gate can be controlled by installing various parts. Installation of these mold components often resulted in interference with the cooling passage, etc., or the mold base had to be made one size larger. To eliminate these problems, we brought out our new control pin. All you need to do to control the mold opening sequence is install it on a comparatively spacious runner stripper plate. |
